150 words review about the place that I had been to.

Kolhapur- maharashtra

City full of the crispy, hot, sweet little corns bunch wrapped around the freshly cut leaves of it.

The famous kolhapuri chappal from the ancient times. I still find people wearing these wooden chappals. The city is full of temples and forts. The beautifully carved idols and pedestals are the cliched talks about kolhapur. The kolhapurians are the most lovable and lively people. The spicy food defines their mindset. People are mostly short tempered.Kolhapur is famous for wrestlers and akhade ki mitthi. There is great significance of sword of chatrapati shivaji maharaja.

Kolhapur is also known for fishes and the market full of crowd. The panhala fort is the heart of the city and is known for the climate. I really enjoy the beautiful scenery and the fog covering the trees everytime I visit kolhapur. The meenakshi temple lays out the basis of kolhapur. The rangoli sellers and street vendors around the temple makes it so colorful all around. The peaceful sunrise and sunset calmes down the area and the chirping of birds adds on to it.

150 word review on the book – city adrift by Naresh fernandes.

The author has beautifully described the transformation of bombay in various aspects.

Reeling under an explosion of pollution ,crowds and noise, an urban landscape is a nightmare for everybody. Developers were encouraging residents to sequester themselves with exciting names. The seven islands were settled by diverse collection of people who created a mishmash culture that perfectly reflected their heterogeneity and verve.
Bombay’s aptitude for aggregation can be tasted in snacks, slangs and languages. The metropolis had entered the period of transition. As Bombay soured higher, the pavements, playgrounds and beaches shrieked. More alarming were the woeful housing arrangements and residents moved to usuriously priced, scarce and legal homes.
During the progress of metropolis, plague epidemic was sweeping through Bombay. The idea of India was born in Bomaby in 1885 when INC held its first meeting in Gowalia Tank.
The streams of dreams were running dry, whereas the development had the capacity to expand time at will. In this ever-changing city, the memories are persisted in oldest ways.
