Theme – wait period.
In today’s class we finally made a decision as group to make a newspaper as it goes well with the theme of “wait period“.

This draft had some flaws so I decided to work with the theme as well as the era to give a complete 1960’s vibe through the newspaper.
Today I made these new layouts as the earlier one’s weren’t upto the mark. They didn’t give an essence of the old newspaper. So this time I decided to use the same fonts and the background along with the gray scaled pictures to give a complete 1960’s look.
One of the movies that we had watched Apur Sansar’s review is also included in the content as it won a national award on May 1 1960.

After discussing with other group members, I tried changing the background.
This is how it looks now.
So far I have learnt many things, first one includes patience. Even though I lose my temper very easily, this time I managed everything with a lot of patience. Honestly after requesting the other group members a lot, they worked, except for some!
Group projects are disastrous for mental health I feel but at the same time group projects are best at the time of brainstorming. Everything has it’s own pros and cons. Cooperating and dealing with patience is the only solution.
Next thing that I learnt was not relying on an online template. I worked on a online template which said it was free to use. But after competing while saving it asked me for 60 bucks.
I had to again make the entire layout on adobe illustrator and photoshop. And then finally combining all of them on adobe indesign.
Definitely an exciting project indeed!
