Week 14 imaging II

10 March 2020

Here are the layouts for additional information about the book. It includes the Acknowledgment, introduction, preface, timeline, bibliography, declaration, index, etc.

Even if we are in quarantine, dad took risk of coming with me to the nearest printout shop to get these printed as I could not make an online mockup of this origami foldout coffee table book.

I showed these layouts and got positive feedback from sir. He told me to compile all the signatures and the cover page and there will be final review on Monday.

I hope all the risk factor and passionate work involved gives me positive grades! Though grades aren’t important people say, but at the end they are like the checkpoints of our progress. And no matter what I ll continue to learn new things and take risks in my project as this was the greatest learning from today’s class.

Taking risks and learning new things will be a new quarantine motto now!

This project had immense learning outcomes for me. Major one includes dealing with patience.

I had to take out some more printouts for the table of contents and the bibliography and unfortunately all the shops were closed. And then after calling a lot of nearby print houses, luckily a guy picked up the call and he said yes, I can help you. In this way I managed to take all the prints and then compiled it all together.

In the process of making the last book that I had made, I had learnt to use all the software’s in combination.

This time I also used some other apps such as Ayoa, pics art, freepik, adobe illustrator, adobe photoshop, adobe indesign (to combine all the individual layouts).

It was fun but with a lot of hard work involved.

I will upload all the final look of the book in the next blog. Hope the review on Monday goes on well.
