Week 12 integrative seminar II

Inquiry questions!

We has a generic, open ended discussion about design. Like I never took the example of a table as an element and discussed for like 1 hour before this day. And It was kind of a brainstorming session for me.

Critical reflections.

I couldn’t express my thought if using suitcase a form of table to fulfill its function as then ma’am moved on to the next topic to discuss about layouts in particular and had an open ended discussion about it related to our courses of choice.

I could relate table as a chart kind of a thing in the field of communication designing.

This session felt like a more communicative one and I actually stirred my mind to think about different aspects of the same element.

Different elements may have different inquiry questions and some elements from different discipline, may have similar inquiry questions.

We learnt about how to dig deeper into the concept and form inquiry questions. During this process, I started pondering about my element ‘Typography‘, and several thoughts came up to my mind which I have listed down further.

Research.

These inquiries are based upon,

Size, dimension, proportion, quantities physical and chemical properties of materials, economical factors, anthropology, historical development, value systems, ethical dilemma, belief systems, impacting lifestyle, rituals, practices.

Keeping In mind about all of the above contexts, here are some of my inquiry questions and in next class I will present them to ma’am and cut down to a shorter list of 5 questions.
