Week 9 time

Testing my marathi understanding skills!

Today we had seen a movie about harishchandra in the movie “Harishchandrachi factory”.
Dadasaheb Phalke had accidentally discovered a tent screening a silent movie. He was amazed by the idea of storytelling. He brought together a team of technicians to produce India’s first feature film.

It was so fascinating to see how movies were made at that time. It was fun deconstructing the movie in parts later on. The best part of the movie according to me was the way he displayed the trait of being patient while he recorded the way the seed grew into a sapling!

“Haste is waste”.

One of the greatest lessons that I got from this movie. Then further on i also like the way there were detailed and smooth transitions in each clip. The way the scene of blackout screen opened the door from the journey of the eye through the reels of the camera.

Everything can teach you something when you are ready to learn and have the urge to improve your skills.
