Week 5 integrative studio II

☆Today’s class was so bright and exuberant. I chose the topic “kaya” from the three fundamental principles of non-violence and truthfulness.There are 6 types of kaya.

• Prthvikaya Jiva – It belongs to the class of beings whose body is made up of the Earth. They fall under the category called the One-sensed beings. Example:- Diamond, gold, coal.
• JalaKaya Jiva – This is the class of beings whose body is made up of water. They also fall under the category of One-sensed beings. Example:- water.
• Agnikaya Jiva – This includes class of beings whose body is made up of fire. Even they fall under the category of One-sensed beings. Example:- Fire
• Vayukaya Jiva – They belong to the class of beings whose body is made up of air. They fall under the category of One-sensed beings. Example:- Air
• Vanaspatikaya Jiva – They belong to the class of beings whose body is made up of vegetation. They fall under the category of One-sensed beings. Example:- plants
• Trasakaya Jiva -They include class of beings who are mobile. They fall under the category of two-sensed, three-sensed, four-sensed, and five-sensed beings. Example:- Microorganisms and living beings.
• Here Is the draft which includes all the above aspects.

Now I am transforming all these elements into a dream city.

☆In this city the buildings are represented through diamond and gold. The stones and bonfire in the form of coal and fire. The flying microorganisms and other creatures are included in the ecosystem. The clouds are represented in the form of water followed by wind waves. The whole idea of this dream city is based on kaya’s.

☆This city represents different perspective of different people. For the same topic, some might reflect optimistically (ornaments), glamorously (mirrors), think about the consequences (symmetry), flexible to any environment (spring), relativity (time).

☆In this city there is a vivid fantasy of a alien donut to adjust in the normal donuts life.

A alien donut comes from a spaceship lands in the hot air balloon and slides down from the slide in a donut shaped tube. And then steps on to a cycle whose tyre is donut shaped. The vivid alien donut looks around the new surrounding with its donut shaped eyes. The existing donuts accept the differences and are happy for the arrival of new type of donut shaped creatures into their city. He greets the alien donut with a pleasant smile.

☆Then we made a prototype tunnel box 5 inches in measure. It had 6 layers representing each aspect from the city we designed.

I am so excited to make the final model which will be of 10 inches.

The results of combination of exuberant colours and the fundamental principle of Jain turned out to be satisfying at the end. Looking forward for more such interesting projects.
