Activity- How do we think?
We were all asked to close our eyes in first place. I thought ma’am is going to surprise us or show something interesting. Then subtly she started speaking in a very calm voice. Honestly, I thought it’s going to be a meditation session. But as she started asking us to visualize the things that she was saying, it seemed interesting to me.
She started with the story of a magician and an old lady. The magician offered a new life with all the desires to be fulfilled. And the old woman would show us the reality. Now we had to choose one amongst them and had to justify the selection.
Now before selecting one of them, I had the following thoughts in my mind. I am listing them out here.
☆About Magician,
It seemed like a fun and magical choice to me. Magician was someone who could change my dreams into reality and was also offering in abundance.
☆About Old woman,
The first thing that caught up my mind was the experience an old lady might have. She must have clarity and could be reliable. I would be assured of her wisdom. And obviously she could be more trust worthy and reliable.
☆what if none of them?
I always believe in acceptance. Desires can change with time. And I don’t want to regret after chosing a world full of miracles and magic. I feel all my desires can be fulfilled in present life if I work upon them and give it some time.
☆Then finally I decided to go with none of them. Because it seemed to be rational. I always have acceptancy in my life. I am genuinely happy with whatever I have. And I am grateful to god for that.
Now, here was the actual reason why this discussion was being bought up in class.
What actually helps you make choices?
It is always based on past experiences and my future benefits according to me. But there are also many other aspects that we consider before taking any decision.
I am going to list all of them right below.
☆past experiences-
We usually tend to think more about our past as our emotions are being attached with it, be it bad or good memories.
☆Logic-
It involves reasoning by which I deduce solutions. It also involves sense perception
☆Imagination-
It depends on our creativity, visualisation and reimagining in different sequences. We usually tend to have faith in sources and begin to intuition them.
☆intuition-
Our gut feeling or memory based choices.
We assimilate things, associate with past events and also think about future possibilities and consequences. Sometimes we also chose people based on their looks and personality.
Consciously or unconsciously we tend to think about these things in our mind. And according to me, no decision is ever right or wrong. It’s always the timing and the fate.
Design elements.
The seven elements of design are line, shape, space, value, form, texture, and color
Design elements from respective cities of the book are as follows.

☆Description of Anastasia awakens desires one at a time only to force you to stifle them.
So honestly this was the best class ever. It had something to do with my brain and triggered it for that hour. As I was actually into visualizing the story of magician and old lady.
Hope to have more visualizing sessions as they make me really active and awaken my physical body and mental state of mind.
Thank you ma’am.
