We discussed different mind maps made by different people. Everybody had some unique map representation and information. It was a very informative session and had a broader perspective about sustainability.
After some more of research work. I made another map of how I contribute to the sustainability of our mother earth’s resources.
Here is the map representing the benefits of compost pit at global level.
Me and my family had decided to use the space which is vacant, next to our house to build up a compost pit. It is a common pit for all the neighborhood societies to put in their organic waste into the pit.
It has several benefits which I ‘ll mention below.
The garbage volume is reduced which is a medium of disease causing agents.
A pit smells like earth and is dug in the ground for the waste to be accumulated .
āComposting helps in soil aeration. And loosens the soil.
āIt reduces the need for costly watering using drones.
It acts as natural fertilizer and helps control weed naturally.
This is the place where the pit was being dug by the farmer last month. After 3 months he ll remove the substance from the pit and will use as natural manure to the plants.
