Change is permanent.

After displaying and getting review over the pictures of gestalt principles, I have replaced some of them.

☆Continuity.

The continuous pathway of a bridge.

The continuous pattern of the seat cover.

☆Multistability.

Heart shape formed through two balloons.

Similar triangular patterns in the building.

☆Proximity.

Combined group of same type of leaves forming a tree.

Group of lockers together signifying proximity.

☆Figure and ground.

In the above picture there is a figure as well a ground.

The sunlight making a shadow over the ground.

☆Closure.

The pattern about to form a leaf.

The ice cream cones appearing to form a circle.

☆Engulf (a word from the movie Ameli)

Here the light is being engulfed by the opaque surface.

The fire extinguisher engulfed by a stand.

Here the light bulb is being engulfed in a opaque surface.

So here were the replaced ones. Now moving on the the connection between the Integrative seminar class. In context with the book ‘Invisible Cities’, we have made some thumbnails with respect to various cities.

It was so wonderful experiencing the description through their visual images. Making the theme in abstract form and some literal was really interesting. The way Venice is described in the book ‘Invisble cities’ by Italo Calvino is truly adorable. It was really exciting to convert the text to form. Looking forward for some interesting activity using these thumbnails.
