Wondering what do you actually mean by sustainable systems? Here are some simple definitions for a deeper understanding on these terms.
âBalance of dynamic processes.
Balance- equality between factors
Dynamic- constantly changing
Process- method/series of events
âFulfilling today’s needs without (altering future needs) depletion.
Eg- water (domestic, not RWH, agriculture, washing, knowledge,
âadapting the change (individual n network)
Eg- evolution of organism, changing from fuel to electricity, using ecofriendly ideas, social and economic reforms(inflation & virtual currency), education.
Biological, technical, hybrid loopsComparing, closing the loop.
â Sustainable ideas
1)Waste segregation-
â(bio waste)
separating organic peelsâ(dry waste)
rappers, plastics
2) making newspaper/recycled paper bags.
3)switch off lights when not in use.
4) prefer fresh air over air conditioners.
5) plant a tree on every special occasion. (If possible)
â Not sustainable
1)Forgetting to switch electricity when not in use.
2)wasting lot of water while brushing/bathing.
3)using vehicles for travelling walkable distance.
We need to cut down on certain things even though we enjoy certain things.
Maps.
Plantation-
“Plant a life, save our future “

Expunge plastics.

Be ecofriendly.

Here are the detailed mind maps and their global effects. One thing that I gained by making the maps is to list down things and then sort them down in a correct order and connect them to get the right essence of the topic.
Movie reviews.
1) Before the flood.
A hot trending topic of “climate change” is being displayed in the movie. It is a very decent, heartfelt and educational documentary. In this documentary, Leonardo DiCaprio proves his own commitment to the cause.
DiCaprio travels the globe and examines fossil fuel addiction. This includes emission from emerging powerhouses. It is therefore important to enforce solar panels and wind mills. We all should recognize that the climate change emergency is the defining issue of our lifetimes. The readers must be informed about the threats to the environment based on scientific facts and not by commercial or political interest. We definitely need a societal change and this requires the stand of future generations and preservation of life on earth.
2) Home-
Home paints the destruction of our planet with exuberant colors imaginable. In this film, Yann Arthus- Bertrand, has injected an essential sense of wonder into the catalogue of social and environmental tragedies. He shows irrigation system as a game of twister.
He has shown how a greedy man destroys the essentials to produce the superfluous. This movie has an essential message to all individuals. It states that ecosystem doesn’t have boundaries unlike our nations. The effects of exploiting the nature is going to effects every individual and the consequences are going to be the toughest to be faced.
Without a rapidly growing global awareness of situation we are facing, we will leave a harsher effect on our future generations. The natural resources on which we all depend will become increasingly scarce.
I as an individual really feel the urge to educate the people about sustainable life and ways to mend and use the natural resources carefully.
These kind of documentaries are really expected to be a part of hollywood and bollywood movies in order to spread more awareness and knowledge about sustainability.
